Reading/Language Arts Levels 6-8

This full-year daily standards practice program is aligned and correlated to the California content standards and is designed for students performing at all levels. The program is presented in an easy to use, multiple-choice format to familiarize students with the format and language often found in achievement tests. The standards are reviewed in a distributed (spiraling) practice manner reinforcing the skills/concepts students have learned in their core curriculum. This program addresses the following components of reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Skills in fluency and reading aloud are covered within the teacher’s guide by using an additional question or activity that may not be practical in a multiple-choice format. This program helps the classroom teacher supplement instruction for all students that benefit from assessment, remediation, review, and a challenge in reading, writing, written and oral English language conventions, and listening and speaking.
