Bellwork Reading/Language Arts series, first introduced in 1988, emphasizes a balanced reading/language arts curriculum that will help all students master the ability to communicate well - to read, write, listen, and speak. One of the most significant underlying program philosophies built into every subject area edition is the importance of frequently assessing students’ knowledge of the standards. The distributed skills practice approach, used in all of our curriculum materials, is derived from research and supported by more than 25 years of experience from classroom teachers who know what constitutes effective instruction. Like all of our daily practice programs, the series is aligned and correlated to state content standards and is presented in a consumable, multiple-choice format. Bellwork Reading/Language Arts is currently available in levels 6-8 for Middle School.
Our student editions are also available in a digital/CD version. It is cost-effective and a convenient way to project our student book pages onto an interactive whiteboard or other flat panel display.
While this series is considered a supplemental program, all schools would benefit by including it as an integral part of their current reading/language arts core curriculum.
